Calling all SMME’S and Entrepreneurs

Fast track your business after the past two difficult years

The Rand Show is one of this country’s most iconic events on the annual entertainment and exhibition calendar. It is, however, also a platform from which many SMMEs and Entrepreneurs either start or build their businesses from.

The past two years have been tough on businesses across the globe and in South Africa. With The Rand Show back in full swing, small businesses have the ideal event to attend to kick start their enterprises.

“This year the show has added a dedicated hall for SMME’s. Traditionally these small business operators would be placed in and around the show, but being aware of the support start-up companies require, we have created a dedicated indoor space with preferential rates to support the growth of the local economy,” says Adele Hartdegen, CEO of The Rand Show.

“Exhibitions work for both the exhibitor and visitor as they are great focused marketing opportunities that bring the target market to the venue, allowing for valuable networking, ongoing relationship building, brand awareness and sales. South Africans love a good exhibition. We’re a culture of hobbyists and weekend project enthusiasts who also love to turn up for a day out, to consult the experts who know about the things we like, see and buy the latest goods and enjoy fine fare from food trucks to more traditional foods as from boerewors roll sellers” says Craig Newman, Head of Communications at The Rand Show.

“A great example of this in action is from the last show in 2019 with a local entrepreneur making a whopping sale of over R500 000. More than his usual year’s turnover. It’s a testament that destination shows can provide a captive audience for exhibitors,” concludes Newman.
